Surah Luqman, verse number 15, along with the rights of parents.
But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in (this) worl with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to me (in repentance). Then to me will be your return and I will inform you about what you used to do.
It means that it’s okay, actually, it’s right thing to disobey your parents (politely saying no) if they are ordering you to do something forbidden by Allah Almighty but it’s not okay to use harsh and unkind words for them or to humiliate them or insult them.
Remember? We can’t even say “ufff” to our parents.
“And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.”
Ergo, look for a way, in which you can politely make them understand your point of view or tell them that you can’t obey them in that matter.
