 Tools and Tricks of Satan

1. Beautifying of Haram

-  Iblis tries to show the wrong as the truth

- Putting beautiful names on haram things

Quranic Proof: 

15:39

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٣٩

Iblis said: "My Lord! In the manner You led me to error, I will make things on earth seem attractive to them and lead all of them to error,"

16:63

تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ٦٣

By Allah! We have surely sent messengers to communities before you ˹O Prophet˺, but Satan made their misdeeds appealing to them. So he is their patron today, and they will suffer a painful punishment.

Examples:

Iblis lured Adam AS to eat from the forbidden tree, and made this action very beautiful saying "If you eat from this tree, you will forever be in paradise". Thus, glamorizing what Allah prohibited Adam and Eve to not do. 

2. Delay in Performing Good Deeds

- Iblis tells you still have time

- "You have more time for prayer"

- You can die anytime, and you will die between 2 prayers. 

3. Promise of Shaitan to Reach Your Worldly Pleasures

- Satan analyses your weaknesses and gives you promises accordingly

- Iblis makes you busy with beautiful desires

Quranic Proof: 

4:120

يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ ۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا ١٢٠

Satan only makes them ˹false˺ promises and deludes them with ˹empty˺ hopes. Truly Satan promises them nothing but delusion.

Examples:

1. Collecting Money

2. Gaining Reputation

4. Expressing His Benevolence To People

- Satan tries to lure you by saying "I want good for you"

Quranic Proof:

7:21

وَقَاسَمَهُمَآ إِنِّى لَكُمَا لَمِنَ ٱلنَّـٰصِحِينَ ٢١

And he swore to them, “I am truly your sincere advisor.”

5. Gradual Obliquity 

- Satan misguides people step-by-step.

- Satan cannot suddenly cause someone to commit major sins,

- The prerequisite step to major sins are the minor ones. 

6. Infusion of Doubt

- Satan weakens your beliefs

7. Khamr, Mayser, Ansab, Azlam

5:90

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَـٰمُ رِجْسٌۭ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ٩٠

O believers! Intoxicants, gambling, idols, and drawing lots for decisions are all evil of Satan’s handiwork. So shun them so you may be successful.

Khamr - Alcohol and all other intoxicants & narcotics

Mayser - All kinds of gambling

Ansab - Whatever is used to be worshipped except Allah SWT

Azlam - Tools used by fortune tellers 

8. Magic

- Whoever listens, walks, or believes in Magicians

- Magicians seek to nullify Allah's power.

- You start forgetting God and your focus is on that particular person

72:6

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًۭا ٦

And some men used to seek refuge with some jinn—so they increased each other in wickedness.[1]

9. Music

- Music is Satan's Quran

- It goes into the hearts and occupies it.

- No room of Quran in your heart then.
